Questions
Good to know
Is Ayat free?
Yes, to download and to use the core features: prayer times, adhan alarms, Qibla, the Hijri calendar, duas, hadith, the 99 Names and a selection of wallpapers, statuses and ringtones. The Quran, Tasbih and premium wallpapers, statuses and ringtones are part of Premium.
How much is Premium?
The price is shown in the app in your local currency before you subscribe, together with the length of the free trial. It depends on your country, so we do not list a single price here.
How do I cancel?
In the app, go to Settings, then Manage Subscription, then Cancel subscription. You keep Premium until the end of the period you have paid for. Cancel during the free trial and you are not charged. Details are in the Refund Policy.
Why are the prayer times a few minutes off from my mosque?
Mosques use different calculation methods and sometimes add a safety margin. Open the prayer settings and choose the method your local mosque or authority uses (for example Umm al-Qura, Muslim World League, ISNA, Egyptian, Karachi, Dubai or Diyanet). You can also set your city by hand if the automatic one is wrong.
Does Ayat track my location?
No GPS is used and the app does not ask for location permission. It estimates your city from your internet connection to calculate prayer times, and keeps it on your phone. See the Privacy Policy.
What happens to the photo I use for a status?
It is uploaded to our servers, the background is removed, and it is placed on the template you chose. The result is stored so you can download and share it. Read the Privacy Policy for details, or the Delete Account page to have it removed.
Is it on iPhone?
The iPhone version is on its way. Some features, like live wallpapers, daily wallpaper rotation, setting ringtones and home-screen widgets, are Android only because iOS does not allow apps to do them.
